Three days in Nagoya: add the aquarium or Tokoname lanes?

Stay near Nagoya Station for two nights and add either an aquarium day or Tokoname pottery lanes to Nagoya Castle and Noritake. Split aquarium shows and exhibits across the day; add lunch and breaks to the Tokoname walk. A last-day Tokoname visit requires time to return to Nagoya before your onward departure.

Compare aquarium admission and transportation tickets

The ¥4,490 subtotal for three-day itinerary A uses standard aquarium admission of ¥2,030 and the individual fares listed in the route. It excludes the discount below and pass purchase costs. If buying a transportation ticket, compare its price with your actual segments and rides that day. The SRT-only day pass is different from the transportation tickets qualifying for this discount.

Using a transportation ticket for the aquarium discount

Show a Nagoya City Transportation Bureau day ticket, all-subway 24-hour ticket, or Donichi Eco Ticket displaying the admission date at the aquarium ticket counter. The holder's standard adult admission becomes ¥1,830. It cannot be combined with other discounts or concessions. Tickets bought in advance through Ticket Pia, convenience stores, or smartphones do not qualify. To use the discount, bring the eligible transportation ticket and buy admission at the aquarium ticket counter.

Frequently asked questions

Can I watch every aquarium show one after another?

Overlapping programs can prevent you from seeing every show in sequence. Choose your priorities first because venues and times differ, then explore the North and South Building exhibits between them. Dolphin shows take place in the North Building's third-floor stadium. Weather or animal conditions may change or cancel programs, so check the detailed schedule for your visit date. Venue information checked October 9, 2026.

Do the totals include aquarium discounts and transportation passes?

The current totals use standard admission and the individual fares in each route; they exclude aquarium discounts and pass purchase costs. Show a Nagoya City Transportation Bureau day ticket, all-subway 24-hour ticket, or Donichi Eco Ticket displaying the admission date at the aquarium ticket counter to reduce the holder's standard adult admission from ¥2,030 to ¥1,830. It cannot be combined with other discounts or concessions and does not apply to tickets bought in advance. Compare pass purchase costs with your actual number of rides. The SRT-only day pass is a different product. Aquarium discount and SRT product conditions checked October 9, 2026; individual fares checked October 8, 2026.
