From arrival hall at Kyushu Saga International Airport to boarding the bus
- Come out to the arrival hall on the 1st floor. For international flights, after completing immigration, baggage collection, and customs, you will exit to the international lobby. Don't think of it as an exit like a domestic flight lobby.
- Prepare your payment method. No need to buy tickets in advance at the airport, just pay when you get off. Have some change ready for cash, and check the balance on your transport IC card. Direct in-vehicle payment using regular credit cards has not been confirmed.
- Non-stop buses linked to international arrivals are ②, semi-express buses are ①. ② is in front of the international arrival lobby, ① is in front of the domestic arrival lobby. The two services use different stops, you must look at the ‘直行 / 準急’ sign on the spot and the destination.
- Take the bus bound for ‘佐賀駅バスセンター’. The destination number for the city is number 1, distinguish it from number 7 for the return trip to the airport. The bus stop number and destination number are also different information.
- If you use cash, you get a numbered ticket, if you use a transport IC card, tap the reader when boarding. The basic way to use city buses is to board through the rear door and leave through the front door. Take a numbered slip if paying cash; otherwise tap your transport IC card on the reader.
- Press the get off button after receiving the stop information. Double-check whether the person getting off at the museum or the prefectural office is a semi-express bus. After the car stops, put the ticket and fare in the front fare box or tap the card on the exit reader.
2,000, 5,000, and 10,000 yen bills cannot be exchanged on board. As the allowable dimensions for large luggage and trunk use have not been confirmed in official data, please contact Saga City Bus at +81-952-23-3155. We do not guarantee the presence or absence of stairs in a specific vehicle or the ability to ride without any convenience.

How to get to JR station and accommodation from Saga Station Bus Centre
Saga Station · 佐賀駅 and Saga Station Bus Centre · 佐賀駅バスセンター are next to each other, but they are not on the same platform. The airport bus arrives at the bus centre under the overpass on the east side of the station. Don't think of it as a bus that gets off at South Station Square.
- After getting off at the bus centre, look for the direction ‘佐賀駅 / JR’ and move west.
- Cross the crosswalk, pass Ekimachi 1-Chome Saga East Building, and えきマチ1丁目佐賀 and enter the central aisle of the station. This route travels approximately 100m from the operator's station to the bus centre in the opposite direction.
- Those who will board the train must check their ticket, limited express ticket, and departure platform in front of the ticket gate. The JR map shows the elevators that lead to the platforms. The station map identifies platform lifts, but it does not establish a step-free route from every bus drop-off point.
- If you are staying in the south, go to Saga Castle Exit (south exit, 佐賀城口), and if you are staying in the north, go to Sunrise Exit (north exit, サンライズ口). After getting off, please select the name and address of your accommodation for walking. Just because it is called ‘Around Saga Station’, it does not use the same exit.
Stop number 1 at the bus centre is where you go when taking the bus to the airport. This does not mean that the arriving bus will always drop off at number 1.

From Kyushu Saga International Airport to Saga Castle History Museum: Choose between the non-stop and semi-express bus
If you plan to stop by the Saga Castle History Museum · 佐賀城本丸歴史館 right away, keep in mind the difference: get off in front of the museum for semi-express buses, and transfer at the station for non-stop buses linked to international arrivals. This is not an airport bus that goes to the entrance of the history museum.
In front of domestic terminal → In front of museum → History museum
① Take the semi-express bus bound for Saga Station Bus Centre at the bus stop and get off in front of the museum. According to the official timetable, it is about 16 minutes and 550 yen. After getting off, move east towards the main building of Saga Castle and find the entrance to the history museum. Follow the walking map below for road crossings at each stop, and do not cross directly onto the roadway.
In front of the museum → Walking directions to the history museum ↗Non-stop bus linked to an international arrival → Station Bus Centre → Saga Castle Site
② Take a direct bus from the bus stop to the bus centre, then transfer to bus stop number 3, bound for destination number 6, ‘佐賀城跡’. Get off at Saga Castle Ruins and go to the entrance of the history museum.
This route is registered in the official access guide to the history museum. In addition to the 600 yen for the airport bus, city bus fare, waiting, and walking time after getting off are additional.
Not all buses from bus stop 3 go to Saga Castle Ruins. If you take number 25 bound for Wasaki, the route will change to the route in front of the museum as indicated in the official guide.

If you go around Saga Prefectural Office, check the bus stop in front of the prefectural office.
Saga Prefectural Office · 佐賀県庁 can be accessed by getting off the semi-express bus at Saga Prefectural Government Mae. It costs about 20 minutes and 570 yen from the airport, and the official information from the prefectural office is about a 1-minute walk from the stop to the government building.
From the bus drop-off point, move toward the southern government building, but there are stops with names in front of the prefectural office in several directions, so check the crosswalk and the map below.
The international direct route does not stop in front of the prefectural office. At the bus centre, check the route that stops at No. 2 Prefectural Office-Mae, Saga Shrine or in front of Prefectural Office at Platform 3 and transfer. Accommodation near the prefectural office have separate addresses from the government office, so you must also check the remaining distance from the bus stop to the entrance to the accommodation.

Last airport bus and delayed arrivals: use the airport-to-city timetable
The last bus to Saga Station Bus Centre is marked as departing the airport at 21:45 → arriving at 22:20 every day. The current timetables for October 1-24, 2026 and the following October 25-March 27, 2027 timetables are all the same. Do not confuse this with the 20:55 departure from the city to the airport.
- Non-stop buses linked to international arrivals from October 1 to 24 are indicated as departing from the airport at 10:25 (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) for the Seoul flight, and at 11:20 (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday) for the Taipei flight. The last domestic-arrival-linked bus is not the last non-stop bus linked to international arrivals.
- Direct winter international flights are Seoul at 10:35 (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, daily from January 7 to February 27, 2027), and Taipei at 11:50 on Tuesdays, 12:00 on Thursdays, and 11:10 on Sundays. Please select the table that matches the applicable period and day of the week.
- The 18:00 departure from the airport is a weekday test service that does not connect to any flights. It does not operate on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, and the winter timetable also excludes December 29 to January 3.
According to official information, the departure of flight connecting buses will be delayed if the arrival of the relevant flight is late. Domestic flights may depart approximately 15 to 20 minutes after arrival, and international flights may depart later than scheduled, depending on immigration procedures. This is not an indefinite waiting service for personal shopping or currency exchange, so check the boarding area first when you come out of the lobby.
It is not a condition that guarantees full capacity, service suspension, or transfer failure.
Once the service is over, use the official taxi stand outside the first floor or notify the taxi company you reserved your arrival flight number and change time. Check the check-in time and address of the accommodation, and compare whether to take a taxi to the accommodation if it is a long walk after getting off at the station.
Don’t assume the airport has hotels or plan to spend the night in the terminal.

Kyushu Saga International Airport taxis and reserved vehicles: distinguish from flat-rate services to the city
Regular taxis can be taken at ‘タクシーのりば’ outside the terminal on the first floor. The airport's official estimate is that it will take about 30 minutes to Saga Station and about 4,000 yen. It is an estimate, not a fixed-rate commitment, and the official notation does not specify whether late-night surcharges, waiting, and tolls are included.
Inquire about total terms by providing your accommodation address and arrival time, and also confirm the payment method and number of large suitcases when picking up the vehicle.
For pre-booked general vehicles, please provide the HSG arrival flight number, actual destination, and contact phone number to the company and confirm the quotation, cancellation, and delay waiting conditions in writing. We do not offer fixed rates or cancellation fees as there are no confirmed fixed-rate reservation products for Saga city only.
Check your reservation confirmation and the airport information centre for the meeting location for your driver.
The reservation-based shared limousine taxi provided by the airport is a service connecting other areas. As Saga City, Saga Station and Hakata are not on the official region list, you should not book for accommodation within the city. Please refer to the separate items below for conditions such as Takeo and Ureshino.

Hire cars are picked up on the east side of the terminal
Go to the hire car terminal (レンタカーターミナル) on the east side of the terminal outside the arrival hall and find the counter of the company you reserved. The official airport information contains contact information for Toyota, Nippon, Orix, Nissan, Avis/Budget, and Times. Each company has different pickup locations, business hours, and late arrival response, so check with the reservation screen or airport counter.
- When making a reservation, please match the HSG arrival flight number, pick-up time, number of bags, and vehicle size.
- At the counter, check your passport, driver’s licence document recognized in Japan, payment method, and insurance, and then collect the vehicle. Check the rental company’s accepted driving documents before booking.
- Please enter the hotel car park address or the history museum car park instead of ‘Saga City’ as the city centre destination. The actual route from the airport north to city centre will follow your car's navigation and road directions for the day.
- Check the accommodation parking fee, vehicle height, return location, and fuel conditions separately. Airport bus fares and hire car platform prices are different costs.
Approximately 30 minutes by car to the station refers to the airport's official taxi travel time and does not include hire car procedures, vehicle inspection, and parking time. We do not use discount campaign rates as standard rates that apply to everyone.

Fukuoka · Hakata: Compare in the following order: Airport Bus → Station Bus Centre → JR Saga Station → Hakata Station · 博多駅. JR tickets and limited express tickets must be purchased separately and the last departure for each day must be confirmed at JR Kyushu. The regular shared-taxi service for both areas costs 4,000 yen per person, about 60 minutes, and the early-morning service linked to ANA452 costs 4,800 yen.
The fare unit is different from the approximately 4,000 yen per vehicle for taxis to Saga Station.
Limousine taxis are for aircraft users only, can accommodate up to one large suitcase per passenger, and in principle are paid in cash. Internet reservations must be made by 16:00 2 days in advance, telephone reservations must be made by 16:00 the day before, and ANA451 and 452 phone reservations must be made by 16:00 2 days in advance.
Be sure to register the actual flight number used. After arrival, the vehicle leaves after all booked passengers have assembled, and for delays, cancellations, changes, or cancellations, the company in charge must be contacted in advance. Natural disasters and alternative flights may not be handled, and the confirmed lump sum amount for cancellation fees is not provided.

Getting around the city from Kyushu Saga International Airport, Frequently asked questions
How do I get from Saga Airport to Saga Station?
Leave the arrival hall on the 1st floor and take the bus bound for Saga Station Bus Centre. For a non-stop bus linked to an international arrival, it takes about 30 minutes from platform ② in front of the international lobby, and for a semi-express bus linked to a domestic arrival, it takes about 35 minutes from platform ① in front of the domestic flight lobby. Adult one-way fare is 600 yen. From the bus centre, go west, pass the crosswalk and east wing of the station, and go to the JR ticket gate. Entry, baggage, waiting, and walking times are separate.
Do I need to make a reservation for the airport bus?
Seat reservations are not required. However, if the bus is full, additional buses may not always be added, so you may have to use the next bus or taxi. The advance reservation system limousine taxi is a different service from this bus.
Where are Saga Station and Saga Station Bus Centre?
The bus centre is located under the east overpass of JR Saga Station. Official information is about 100m east from the JR ticket gate, past the Ekimachi 1-chome Saga East Building and the crosswalk. Separate the bus centre's platform number 1 for buses bound for the airport from the drop-off area for buses arriving from the airport.
How do I get from Saga Airport to Saga Castle History Museum?
In front of the domestic terminal ① The semi-express bus bound for Saga Station Bus Centre stops in front of the museum. It takes about 16 minutes from the airport and costs 550 yen for adults. After getting off, walk to the history museum. In front of International Terminal ②, the direct bus does not stop in the middle, so go to the bus centre and transfer to bus number 6 bound for Saga Castle Ruins at platform 3 or take a taxi.
How do I pay the bus fare?
When getting off, pay with cash or a nationwide transport IC card such as nimoca, Suica, or PASMO. Cash users receive a numbered ticket when getting on and insert the numbered ticket and fare when getting off. Transport IC cards are tapped both when boarding and getting off. Direct credit card payment is not confirmed, so prepare cash or a loaded transport IC card.
Can I take the bus with a large suitcase?
The allowable size and number of large suitcases and separate trunk guarantee have not been confirmed in this official data. Please call the Saga City Bus +81-952-23-3155 to check your luggage size and number of bags, and ask the driver about the loading location before boarding. It is a good idea to compare it to a taxi by considering whether you can get in and out of the car by yourself without blocking the aisle.
What if my flight is late and I miss the last bus?
The last semi-express bus departing from the airport is 21:45 every day for both the timetables from October 1 to 24, 2026 and October 25 to March 27, 2027. Flight connecting buses will delay their departure times to accommodate the delayed arrival of the plane in question, but this does not guarantee unlimited waiting for every passenger. As soon as you come out of the lobby, check the bus stop, and if bus services have finished, use the official taxi stand or reservation agency outside the first floor.
How do I get from the airport to Fukuoka?
Take a bus bound for Saga city, get off at the Saga Station Bus Centre, and then compare the routes by checking the train bound for Hakata at JR Saga Station. Airport bus 600 yen and JR fare/limited express ticket are separate, and train waiting and transfer time are also added. For the direct airport bus to Fukuoka City and Hakata, we are unable to confirm the basis for the current operation, so we do not provide information on available transportation options.
Where can I check the bus operation status on the day?
Check Saga City Bus operation notices and Saga Airport notices. For airport buses, you must also look at the official PDF timetable appropriate for your travel date. If you are transferring to a train, please additionally check the JR Kyushu operation information, and do not judge flight cancellations or suspensions based on old timetables or missing bus location indicators in search results.
