Admission is JPY 2,500 for adults, JPY 2,000 for university students, JPY 1,000 for senior high school students and JPY 500 for primary and junior high school students. Adult groups of 20 or more pay JPY 2,200 per person. The ticket covers views of the Japanese gardens and exhibitions in the main building and annex.
Opening hours
The museum opens daily from 09:00–17:30 from April to September and 09:00–17:00 from October to March, but the annex closes separately for exhibition changes.

Garden views from indoors
View the garden scenery from inside the museum. Visitors cannot walk freely through the gardens, so bear this in mind if you are looking for a garden walk.
Japanese paintings alongside the gardens
Allow time for the Japanese painting exhibition after viewing the gardens. The museum recommends at least two hours for a visit.

How to get to Adachi Museum of Art
Leave the JR Yasugi Station building and walk about 15 metres to the right to the free museum shuttle stop. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Its 25 seats are allocated first come, first served, with no reservations. Collect one numbered return-shuttle ticket per person at the museum entrance.

Before you visit
Allow time for the Yasugi round trip
The museum is in Yasugi. From Matsue, first travel to Yasugi Station, then change to the shuttle. Plan for both artwork viewing and the return shuttle time.
Collect your numbered return-shuttle ticket
If returning to Yasugi Station by free shuttle, collect one numbered ticket per person at the museum entrance. The shuttle has 25 seats allocated first come, first served. It does not accept reservations, so you may miss your preferred service.
Annex exhibition-change closures in 2026
The annex closes for exhibition changes on 20–23 October and 16–17 November 2026. These are separate from closures of the whole museum; check the annex information for your visiting day.
