Admission
There is no admission fee for walking Tojinbo's coast. Observation facilities, sightseeing boats and parking cost extra.
Opening hours
The coast can be explored at any time without regular closing days. Shops, observation facilities and boats have seasonal hours. From April to October, shops are generally listed as open from 9 am to 5 pm, and boat hours are listed as 9 am to 4 pm. Boat services may stop because of sea conditions or season.

From the coast, see column-like rock formations meeting the sea. Walk to take in their shapes and the views. Choose accessible sections according to weather and local notices.
How to get to Tojinbo Cliffs
Take an Echizen Railway Mikuni Awara Line train from Fukui towards Mikuni and alight at Mikuni Station. Change to a Tojinbo-bound Keifuku bus, alight at Tojinbo and walk about five minutes to the coast. The train takes about 50 minutes and the bus about 10 minutes, excluding waiting.

The weekday train/bus connection table is the 1 October 2024 revision. Adult single fares are JPY 780 for Fukui–Mikuni trains, JPY 280 for Mikuni Station–Tojinbo buses and JPY 570 for Tojinbo–Awara-Yunomachi Station buses. Check your departure station and bus direction, and use separate timetables on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Check service changes for your date with the operator.

Before you visit
Check operations before travelling for a boat trip
Sightseeing boats may stop operating because of weather, sea conditions or season. If you want a boat trip, check that day's notice before setting off. Mikuni, Mikuni-Minato and Awaraonsen are different boarding points; check the station name for your bus return.
