Admission
There is no admission fee to walk Tojinbo's coast. The observation tower, sightseeing boats, and parking cost extra.
Opening hours
The coast is freely accessible 24 hours a day without regular closing days. Shops, the observation tower, and sightseeing boats have seasonal hours. From April through October, shops are generally listed as open 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and boats 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Boat service may be suspended depending on sea conditions and the season.
What to see at Tojinbo Cliffs
Column-like rocks beside the sea
From the coast, you can see the column-like rocks meet the sea. Walk while exploring the formations and ocean views. Choose accessible walking sections according to the weather and on-site guidance.
How to get to Tojinbo Cliffs
From Fukui Station, take an Echizen Railway Mikuni Awara Line train toward Mikuni and get off at Mikuni Station. Transfer to a Tojinbo-bound Keifuku bus, get off at Tojinbo, and walk about five minutes to the coast. The train ride takes about 50 minutes and the bus about 10 minutes, with waiting time extra.

The weekday train and bus connection chart was revised October 1, 2024. Adult one-way fares are ¥780 for the Fukui–Mikuni train, ¥280 for the Mikuni–Tojinbo bus, and ¥570 for the Tojinbo–Awara-Yunomachi bus. Check your departure station and bus direction. Use the separate timetable on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, and check the operator's information for changes on your visit date.

Visit tips
Check boat service before leaving
Sightseeing boats may stop operating because of weather, sea conditions, or the season. If a boat trip is your goal, check that day's service before departing. Mikuni, Mikuni-Minato, and Awaraonsen stations are different boarding points; check the station name for your return bus too.

Do I need to take a boat to see Tojinbo?
