The residence opens daily from 08:30 to 17:00 in April–November and from 09:00 to 16:30 in December–March. Official English guidance lists last admission at 17:00 and 16:30 respectively; official final exit times are 17:30 and 17:00. Distinguish admission cut-offs from exit times when planning.

How to get to Aizu samurai residence
Take Akabe from Aizuwakamatsu Station to Aizu Bukeyashiki-mae, then walk to the main entrance and ticket office. Return on Akabe from the stop towards Aizuwakamatsu Station. The stop name appears twice on the route map, so distinguish directions. Leave extra time for the entrance walk and ticket queues. Adult bus fares are JPY 250 per ride; check the appropriate weekday or holiday timetable for your date and seasonal operating conditions.
