Admission
Collection admission is JPY 200, or JPY 160 for university and high school students; junior high school students and younger and visitors aged 65 or older are free. Special exhibitions have their own prices. Human Figure from 10 October to 13 December 2026 costs JPY 300 for standard adult admission, including the Former Inoue Residence. This is separate from the Museum of Modern Art, Gunma ticket.
Opening hours
The museum opens from 10 am to 6 pm, with last admission at 5.30 pm; Fridays extend to 8 pm, with last admission at 7.30 pm. The residence interior opens from 10 am to 11 am and from 2 pm to 4 pm. The garden opens from 10 am to 6 pm in October and November, with last admission at 5.30 pm, and from 10 am to 5 pm in December, with last admission at 4.30 pm.

To see inside the residence
The interior opens from 10 am to 11 am and from 2 pm to 4 pm. After lunch, arrive during the afternoon session, then return to Takasaki Station for your train. Garden hours differ from interior visiting hours.

Closure days and exhibition changes
The museum opens on public holiday Mondays, then closes on the next weekday. It also closes on weekdays following public holidays, during exhibition changes and from 28 December to 4 January. October 2026 closures for Human Figure are 13, 19 and 26 October.
