For a Mount Fuji trip, compare the lakeside cameras at Kawaguchiko and Yamanakako with the view from Arakurayama Sengen Park. The lakes place Fuji beyond the water; the park shows it from higher ground.
For Fuji with a lakeside setting, head to Kawaguchiko; for the pagoda view, consider Arakurayama Sengen Park. Reaching that viewpoint involves stairs, so choose with your walking plans in mind. A camera view of Fuji cannot tell you whether the park is accessible.
Think spring blossoms, summer flowers at Oishi Park, autumn colour and a snowy Fuji in winter. Use the lake cameras only for scenery actually in frame; check official flower reports for bloom status.
Near Kawaguchiko, hoto is a warming wide-noodle stew; Yoshida udon in nearby Fujiyoshida has a firmer bite.
