Visitor information
Admission
There are separate free and paid areas. Individual admission to the paid area costs JPY 300 for visitors aged 16 and over and JPY 100 for elementary and junior high school students. Preschool children enter free.
Opening hours
Open 10:00–17:00, with last entry at 16:30. Closed every Tuesday and from December 29 to January 3.

How to get to Iwate Bank Red Brick Building
Take the right-loop Dendenmushi from outside Morioka Station to Morioka Bus Centre, then walk about one minute to the Red Brick Building. The facility gives a bus journey of about ten minutes from the station, or about 30 minutes on foot. For the return trip, take the left loop from the bus centre to Morioka Station. Both directions pass the bus centre, and each adult ride costs JPY 150. If you stop at the castle park first, allow extra time to explore it and walk onwards.

Visiting tips
Plan for large bags and stairs
The Red Brick Building has no lockers or elevator. Arrange storage for large bags before your visit. If stairs are difficult for you, ask the facility which areas you can access.
