How to get to Miyazawa Kenji Memorial Museum

From Shin-Hanamaki Station, take a Tsuchizawa Line (土沢線) bus to Kenji Kinenkan Guchi (賢治記念館口), then walk uphill for about 15 minutes to the museum. This walking time comes from Hanamaki City’s July 6, 2026 guidance and the tourism association, which also lists 367 steps along the route. Ask the facility about alternative access first if stairs are difficult for you. The city’s latest transport guidebook gives an adult fare of JPY 170 from Shin-Hanamaki Station and a bus journey of about four minutes. On the return trip, board towards Michi no Eki Towa at Kenji Kinenkan Guchi and get off at stop 5 outside Shin-Hanamaki Station; the timetable gives about two minutes in this direction. Check the city’s transport guide for both services on your date.
