At Ise Jingu's Naiku, cross Uji Bridge and follow the woodland path towards the main sanctuary. Take your time along the approach as you explore the shrine grounds beyond the bridge.

Admission
Ordinary shrine visits are free. Prayer services, shrine items and museum admission cost extra. The bus between Iseshi-ekimae and Naiku-mae costs ¥520 one way or ¥1,040 return per adult, separate from shrine admission. This fare comes from the existing material's search on 8 October 2026.
Opening hours
Shrine visit hours are 05:00–18:00 in January–April and September, 05:00–19:00 in May–August, and 05:00–17:00 in October–December. Hours may change at New Year.
What to see at Naiku (Kotaijingu)
The woodland walk from Uji Bridge to the main sanctuary
After crossing Uji Bridge, follow the woodland path to the main sanctuary. The walk from the bridge takes approximately 20 minutes one way. Allow separate time for the shrine visit and return.

How to get to Naiku (Kotaijingu)
From bay 10 at Iseshi-ekimae, take route 51 or 55 towards Naiku-mae and get off there. Walk approximately 20 minutes one way from Uji Bridge to the main sanctuary. The shrine visit, return walk and bus wait take extra time. For the return, check buses towards Iseshi Station from bay 2 at Naiku-mae.

Approach restrictions on event days and the return bus
Parts of the approach may be restricted during events; follow on-site directions. Searching the return bus for your travel date in advance makes it easier to plan when to head back to the station after the visit.
