The official tourism guide does not list a separate admission amount for the walking area. Check sightseeing boat and nearby paid-facility fees separately. The bus from JR Omihachiman Station costs ¥260 each way or ¥520 return for adults; it does not include a boat ride.

From Omihachiman Station's north exit, take a bus serving Hachimanbori (Osugicho) Hachimanyama Ropeway-guchi. The ride takes about seven minutes. From the stop, walk directly to the canal. Allow separate time for bus waits, walking and meals, and check the station-bound return bus times.
