How to get to Kirishima Jingu
Take the JR Nippo Main Line from Kagoshima-Chuo Station to Kirishima-Jingu Station, then a bus towards Kirishima Iwasaki Hotel for about 15 minutes to Kirishima-Jingu stop. The station is not directly outside the shrine. By car, follow the parking route in the operator’s access guide. Standard passenger-car parking is free; leave time to walk from the car park to the worship area.

Returning to the station after the shrine
Regular routes and separate access buses have different operating days, return times and tickets. Check both outward and return buses. The separate access bus uses a designated day pass.

Does getting off at Kirishima-Jingu Station bring me straight to the shrine?
No. You need another bus from the station to the shrine. Get off at Kirishima-Jingu stop, worship and take a return bus using the timetable for your date.
