Which Kagoshima attractions should you visit?

Choose Sengan-en for a garden and former residence with Sakurajima across the bay, or Shiroyama for city-wide and bay views. See how the island’s terrain changed at Sakurajima Visitor Center, and rugged volcanic slopes at Yunohira Observatory. The aquarium offers indoor marine-life exhibits; Ibusuki to the south offers sand bathing and rest. Compare Kirishima Jingu and the mountain park in the rental-car overnight routes.
