Opening hours
The observatory is freely accessible for viewing, and the shop opens 09:00–17:00. Follow your date’s notices for volcanic or weather-related access restrictions.

How to get to Yunohira Observatory
Take Island View from Sakurajima Port to Yunohira Observatory. The bus loops through western island sights, with a listed journey of about 40 minutes from the harbour to the observatory. This differs from direct driving time.
