At Lake Chuzenji, walk along the lakeside path past the large torii gate and Sunrise and Sunset piers. After Kegon Falls, spend some time by the water. This route stays around Chuzenji Onsen; it does not circle the entire lake.

Opening hours
No fixed facility opening hours have been confirmed for the lake itself. Walk during daylight and plan around your return bus. For a cruise, check the sailing schedule for your travel date separately.

How to get to Lake Chuzenji
Take a bus from Nikko’s stations to Chuzenji Onsen. Follow the official tourist map from the stop to the lakeside. The adult one-way bus fare between Nikko’s stations and Chuzenji Onsen is JPY 1,250.

Yes. Take a bus from Nikko’s stations to Chuzenji Onsen for a lakeside day trip. If adding Kegon Falls or a villa visit, allow more travel and viewing time and check your return bus.
