What would you like to see in Tochigi?
For a closer look at shrine and temple architecture, give Toshogu and Rinnoji separate visits. Choose Oya History Museum to explore the scale of an underground quarry, or Lake Chuzenji for lakeside walks and villa exhibitions. The quarry requires stairs, and the lake is reached by a mountain-road bus, so compare the walking and travel requirements.
