Usual special exhibition admission: adults ¥1,200; high school/university students ¥500; elementary/junior high students ¥300; younger children free. During the RISD exhibition on 8 August–12 October 2026: adults ¥1,800; high school/university students ¥800; elementary/junior high students ¥500. Follow relevant guidance for other exhibitions.

How to get to The Hokusai-kan Museum

Take Nagano Dentetsu from Nagano to Obuse, then walk approximately twelve minutes to Hokusai-kan. Adult local fare is ¥870 one way; limited express supplements and reserved-seat charges are extra. Choose outward and return trains together in the visit-date timetable.

On 13 and 23 October 2026, only some galleries, including the festival-float room, open. Adult admission is ¥300. The full special exhibition and discounts are unavailable. For the special exhibition, avoid these changeover dates and visit during its run.
