Visitor information
Admission
Individual admission is ¥1,500 for high school students and older, ¥600 for elementary and junior high school students, and ¥200 for preschool children aged four and older. Children aged three and younger enter free.
Opening hours
Normal hours are 09:00–17:00, with ticket sales and last admission until 16:30. Closures are December 29–January 1, the first Thursday in March and the following day. Schedules may change around New Year, Golden Week and summer school holidays.

How to get to Niigata City Aquarium Marinepia Nihonkai
Take a C22 Hamauracho Line bus bound for Suizokukan-mae · 水族館前 from Niigata Station bus terminal bay 9 and get off at the terminus. The ride takes about 25 minutes; one-way fares are ¥260 for adults and ¥130 for children. The stop is on the road outside Niigata Field. Walk through the front entrance · 正面入口, buy your ticket beside the museum shop at the ticket office · チケット売場, then go to the visitor entrance. Return on a Niigata Station-bound C22 from the same stop area. Allow extra time for bus waits and walking from the stop.
