Admission
Admission is JPY 350 for adults and JPY 150 for university students. Senior high school students and younger, and visitors aged 65 and older, enter free. For free or reduced admission, check eligibility conditions and required documents, such as official identification, before entering.
Opening hours
Hours are 09:00–18:00 from 16 March to 15 September and 09:00–17:00 from 16 September to 15 March. Last entry is 30 minutes before closing. The garden closes on 29–31 December.

How to get to Shukkeien
From Hiroshima Station, take tram route 2 or 6 to Hatchobori. Transfer to route 9 towards Hakushima and get off at Shukkeien-mae, then walk to the garden entrance. To return, take route 9 towards Hatchobori and transfer there to route 2 or 6 towards Hiroshima Station. Following the transfer rules keeps the adult fare at JPY 240 one way or JPY 480 return. If paying cash, collect a transfer ticket when getting off the first tram; it is valid that day. With a transit IC card, tap on and off every tram and transfer within 60 minutes after getting off the first tram. The return journey in the opposite direction after sightseeing requires a new fare.

Can I visit Shukkeien and the art museum together?
Yes. Hiroshima Prefectural Art Museum is directly beside the garden. A combined ticket covers the garden and the museum's collection exhibition; special exhibitions cost extra. Check museum closing days and exhibition changeovers when planning both visits.
