Walking the sand and coast has no admission fee. Check separate prices and conditions for the water park, rentals, lockers and parking. The guide's beach-walking itinerary excludes water-play facilities.
Opening hours
Coastal lights run from sunset until 22:00, switched off during fireworks events. Swimming-season dates and hours follow separate information.

How to get to Atami Sun Beach
Sun Beach is about a 20-minute walk from Atami Station. The uphill return requires departure timed to your train, with extra time from station arrival to the platform.

2026 swimming season
The 2026 swimming season ran July 11–August 30, with swimming 09:00–16:00. Those times do not define beach-walking access. For water activities in another year, check that year's information.
The return to the station is uphill
The Atami Station-bound return is uphill. On rail departure days, allow plenty of time from the beach to the platform.
