Which Shizuoka attractions: views, architecture, art or sea?
View Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay from Nihondaira Yume Terrace's corridor. For ornate shrine decoration too, take the ropeway to Kunozan Toshogu. Steps still follow the ropeway ride.
In Atami, explore Kiunkaku's former villa buildings and garden or see Kinomiya Shrine's large camphor tree up close. For paintings, check the visit-date exhibition at Shizuoka City Museum of Art or MOA Museum. Choose Sun Beach for a seaside walk, or Sunpu Castle Park for castle-history exhibits inside restored gates and turrets.

The outdoor viewing corridor is free. From October 1, 2026, building viewing facilities cost ¥100 ordinary/senior high school admission or ¥50 for elementary/junior high school students. Checked October 8, 2026.
Does the ropeway avoid the shrine stairs?
About 80 steps lead from Kunozan Station to the shrine buildings. The roughly five-minute ride each way excludes steps, ticketing and waits.
