Admission
The cable car and chairlift have the same fares: adults ¥490 one way or ¥980 return, children ¥250 or ¥500. The adult ordinary Keio train fare from Shinjuku to Takaosanguchi is a separate ¥430 one way.
Opening hours
The cable car takes about 6 minutes one way, with the usual first departure at 08:00. From September to November, the last departure is 17:45 on weekdays and 18:00 on weekends and public holidays. Check the day's notices for maintenance, servicing, severe weather or event changes.

How to get to Mount Takao Cable Car
Take a Keio train towards Takaosanguchi from Keio Shinjuku Station. Some trains require a transfer at Kitano. After arriving at Takaosanguchi, walk about 5 minutes to Kiyotaki Station to board the cable car.

Leave time for the downhill cable car
Final departures vary by season and day, and maintenance, weather or events may change service. Check the last departure before walking if you plan to descend by cable car. On suspended-service days, move the visit rather than forcing a walk down.
From Takaosanguchi Station to Kiyotaki Station
Walk about 5 minutes from Takaosanguchi to Kiyotaki Station for the cable car. Some Keio trains require a Kitano transfer. Keio and cable car fares are paid separately.
