How to get to Miyazawa Kenji Memorial Museum
Take the Tsuchizawa Line (土沢線) from Shin-Hanamaki Station to Kenji Kinenkan Iriguchi (賢治記念館口), then walk uphill for about 15 minutes. That estimate comes from Hanamaki City’s 6 July 2026 information and the tourist association, which also lists 367 steps along the route. If stairs are difficult, ask the facility about other access first. The latest city transport guidebook gives an adult fare of ¥170 from Shin-Hanamaki and about four minutes on the bus. Return towards Michi-no-Eki Towa from the museum stop and get off at Shin-Hanamaki Station stand 5. That direction takes about two minutes in the timetable.
