How to get to Sakurajima Visitor Centre

Walk about ten minutes from Sakurajima Port to the Visitor Centre. After disembarking, see the exhibits here before starting island sightseeing.

Continuing to the viewpoint after the exhibits

After viewing, leave time to walk to the bus stop. The centre stays open until 17:00, but buses leave according to stop-specific timetables. Choose the bus to the viewpoint and the return service to the port first.

Should groups contact Sakurajima Visitor Centre before visiting?

The centre asks groups of ten or more to contact it in advance. Decide your date and group size before enquiring. Ordinary exhibition admission is free.
