Admission

Building viewpoint admission is 100 yen general/high-school admission or 50 for elementary/junior-high students; preschool children enter free. No admission fee applies to the outdoor walkway.

Opening hours

Building hours are 09:00–17:00 Sunday–Friday and 09:00–21:00 Saturdays, last admission 30 minutes before closing. Closed the second Tuesday monthly, or the next weekday when that is a public holiday. The outdoor walkway is available all day.

The walkway overlooks Mt. Fuji, Suruga Bay and Shimizu Port. Walk slowly along it to enjoy mountain and sea scenery.

How to get to Nihondaira Yume Terrace

Take a bus from Shizuoka Station to the Nihondaira Ropeway terminus. Follow summit terrace signs. The facility gives about three minutes on foot between terrace and ropeway. Services departing Higashi-Shizuoka differ from those at Shizuoka, so check your starting station. Allow bus waiting and meals separately.

The outdoor walkway remains free. Building exhibitions and observation floors charge admission from 1 October 2026.

The building closes over year-end. Official information lists 26–31 December at the top, but 26–30 in the FAQ. If visiting at year-end, confirm opening with the facility.

Can I see Mt. Fuji on a cloudy day?

Clouds around Mt. Fuji may hide it. If seeing Mt. Fuji is a priority, check the weather before you go; the walkway also offers Suruga Bay and Shimizu Port scenery.
