Admission

Building admission is JPY 100 for adults and senior secondary students, and JPY 50 for primary and junior secondary students. Preschool children enter free. There is no charge to walk the outdoor viewing corridor.

Opening hours

The building opens 9 am–5 pm Sunday–Friday and 9 am–9 pm Saturday, with last admission 30 minutes before closing. It closes on the second Tuesday of each month, or the next weekday when that Tuesday is a public holiday. The outdoor viewing corridor is accessible throughout the day and night.

The viewing corridor overlooks Mount Fuji, Suruga Bay and Shimizu Port. Follow it at your own pace to take in the mountain and coastal scenery.

How to get to Nihondaira Yume Terrace

From Shizuoka Station, take a bus terminating at Nihondaira Ropeway and stay on to the terminus. Follow the summit signs for the terrace. The facility lists the walk between the terrace and ropeway as about three minutes. Services from Higashi-Shizuoka Station have a different starting point, so check which station you will use. Allow separate time for waiting and meals.

The outdoor viewing corridor remains free. Admission to the building’s exhibitions and observation level has been charged since 1 October 2026.

Can I see Mount Fuji on a cloudy day?

Cloud around Mount Fuji can hide it from view. Check the weather if seeing the mountain is your main reason for visiting. The corridor also overlooks Suruga Bay and Shimizu Port.
