Shizuoka attractions: views, architecture, art or the sea?

Nihondaira Yume Terrace’s viewing corridor offers views of Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay. Add a ropeway trip to Kunozan Toshogu Shrine if you also want to see its ornate decoration. You still need to climb steps after the ropeway.

In Atami, visit Kiunkaku for historic villa architecture and gardens, or Kinomiya Shrine for its large camphor tree. For paintings, check the exhibitions on your travel dates at Shizuoka City Museum of Art or MOA Museum of Art. Choose Sun Beach for a coastal walk, or Sunpu Castle Park for castle history displays inside a restored gate and turret.
