Admission
Admission is JPY 2,000 for adults and JPY 1,400 for senior secondary and university students; junior secondary students and younger enter free. Senior secondary and university students must show ID on entry. Buses from Atami Station cost an additional JPY 200 each way, making adult admission and return bus fares JPY 2,400 in total.
Opening hours
The museum opens from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, with last admission at 4 pm. Check the official calendar for any temporary operating changes on your visit date.

How to get to MOA Museum of Art
Take the MOA Museum of Art bus from Atami Station stand 8 to its terminus, a ride of about seven minutes. Buy your ticket at the escalator entrance in front of the stop, then take eight escalator sections up to the upper plaza, about ten minutes away. Continue to the main building entrance. Ticketing and queues take extra time. Choose a return bus to Atami Station in advance, allowing time to descend from the galleries to the stop. Services marked M do not run on museum closure days.

Before you visit
Allow time to reach the main building after the bus
After leaving the bus, take eight escalator sections up to the upper plaza, a journey of about ten minutes. This is additional to the seven-minute bus ride, and ticketing or queues take extra time. On the way back, allow time to descend from the galleries to the bus stop.

Closure dates and the return bus
The museum closes on Thursdays, except public holidays when it opens. It also closes for exhibition changeovers, so check your date on the official calendar. Bus services marked M do not run on museum closure days.

Can I enter the galleries immediately after leaving the bus?
You need to continue to the main building. Buy your ticket at the escalator entrance in front of the terminus, then take eight escalator sections up to the upper plaza, about ten minutes away. Continue from there to the main building entrance. The seven-minute bus ride excludes this journey, ticketing and queues.
