Sapporo Station, Odori Park and Susukino make a straightforward city route. In snowy weather, it is often easier to spend longer in one area than to keep crossing town.

Where can I see spring flowers?
Sapporo blossoms tend to arrive later than those in Tokyo or Osaka. Maruyama Park is a late-April to early-May candidate, but check that year’s bloom report.
How should I plan a snow visit?
For Odori Park in snow or the Snow Festival, check the event dates first. Even outside festival week, snowy pavements can make the walk from your hotel to dinner matter.
Where can I see Sapporo at night?
An evening downtown is different from a trip up Mt. Moiwa. Check ropeway service and mountain weather, then allow time for dinner after coming down.
