Permanent-only admission costs JPY 300 at the ordinary rate or JPY 150 for university and senior high school students; visitors of junior-high school age and younger enter free. The 115th Noh-costume exhibition, 18 September–23 November 2026, costs JPY 1,000 for adults with permanent displays included. Other special exhibitions use their own fees.

09:30–17:00, admission until 16:30. Closed Mondays, or the next day if Monday is a public holiday or substitute holiday, and 29 December–3 January. Check the official calendar for temporary closures and your date’s opening.

How to get to Gunma Prefectural Museum of History

From Takasaki’s east side, take Gururin route 9, 10 or 15 to Gunma-no-Mori. Walk about five minutes to the history museum. The adult bus fare is JPY 200.
