Admission

When only permanent displays are open, standard admission is JPY 300, or JPY 150 for university and high school students; junior high school students and younger are free. Adult admission for the 115th Noh costume exhibition from 18 September to 23 November 2026 is JPY 1,000, including permanent displays. Other special exhibitions have their own prices.

Opening hours

The museum opens from 9.30 am to 5 pm, with last admission at 4.30 pm. It closes on Mondays, or the following day when Monday is a public or substitute holiday. It also closes from 29 December to 3 January. Check the official calendar for temporary closures and your visit date.
