Ordinary worship in the grounds is free. Check separate fees and reception conditions for the treasure hall or requested prayer services.
Opening hours and closed days
Ordinary worship is available from 06:00 to 19:00. The rear main-sanctuary area and Soga-no-Yashiro close at 16:30. After 19:00, worship is possible only in front of the eastern bronze torii.

How to get to Izumo Taisha
From stand 1 outside JR Izumoshi Station’s north exit, take an Ichibata bus towards Izumo Taisha or Hinomisaki to Seimon-mae (正門前). Adult fare via AEON Mall is JPY 510 one way or JPY 1,020 return on the same route. Return from Seimon-mae on an Izumoshi-bound bus. Check both services for your date and temporary notices. By railway, normally board at Dentetsu-Izumoshi and change at Kawato for Izumo Taisha-mae. Some services run through, so check whether your chosen train needs a change.

Worship in late afternoon
The area behind the main sanctuary and Soga-no-Yashiro close at 16:30. Visit before then to include them. After 19:00, worship is possible only in front of the eastern bronze torii.
