Admission
Visitors of junior high school age and above pay JPY 2,500 return or JPY 1,550 one way. Primary school pupils pay JPY 700 return or JPY 450 one way; preschool children travel free. Prices were revised on 1 August 2026.
Opening hours and closed days
The first service normally departs at 09:00. The final service is at 16:20 from March to early November, or 15:40 from mid-November to February. The one-way ride takes about ten minutes; check the return service times. Winds of 25 metres per second or above, bad weather and regular maintenance may suspend operation.

Gourd Line walks around the upper station offer mountain scenery. Check weather/trail guidance and use only sections open that day.
How to get to Hakkoda Ropeway
Take Lake Towada/Sukayu-bound JR Bus to Ropeway Eki-mae · ロープウェー駅前: adult one-way JPY 1,290. Autumn/winter routes/bookings differ; check both services. Eligible winter Aomori/Shin-Aomori departures require advance booking plus JPY 300 per ride. The notice says return reservations from Ropeway Eki-mae to Aomori are not accepted.

October first services start earlier: 08:30 weekdays, 08:15 weekends/public holidays. Planned suspension 8–20 November 2026 for maintenance/electrical works; omit ropeway visits then.
