Nagasaki Airport → your hotel
Nagasaki Airport to Nagasaki Station, Shinchi and Dejima
For Nagasaki Station, take the Dejima Road bus from airport bay 5 and leave it at the station transport plaza. For Shinchi Chinatown, use its Shinchi stop; for Hamanomachi, use Chuo-bashi. Choose the drop-off closest to your hotel instead of riding to the station and doubling back.

The airport-origin bus timetable below applies October 1–24, 2026. For later dates, use the operator’s new table. Allow time after landing for immigration, bags and boarding.
Direct city bus or bus plus Shinkansen?
For a single city transfer, a direct bus avoids changing vehicles. Compare the Shin-Omura rail connection if you already have a valid JR pass or are continuing a rail itinerary. The airport itself has no railway station.

Official timetable and conditions ↗② Bus → Shin-Omura Station → Shinkansen → Nagasaki Station
Approximately 13 minutes by bus + 14 minutes by train example
Bus + non-reserved JR: 2,050 yen
Bus 310 yen + JR fare 870 yen + non-reserved seat express fare 870 yen. Ticketing, transfers, and waiting for trains are separate.
Official timetable and conditions ↗These are onboard times, not landing-to-hotel estimates. Immigration, bags, ticketing, queueing, transfers and hotel walks are separate. Adding a 13-minute bus and a 14-minute train does not establish a 27-minute airport-to-city trip. Traffic can delay the bus.

- Complete immigration and collect bags, then enter the first-floor arrivals hall. Save your hotel address and intended stop on your phone.
- Go outside to bay 5 for 新地中華街・長崎駅前/出島道路経由, or bay 4 for 長崎駅前/昭和町・浦上経由. The routes have different city stops.
- For Shin-Omura, use bay 2 toward Huis Ten Bosch/Sasebo and confirm 新大村駅前 with the driver. It is not bay 3’s Omura/Isahaya service.
- Tell the driver your drop-off when loading bags, then collect them before leaving the stop.
Bay 1 is designated for international disembarkation, not a city-bound bus. Regular taxis use bay 6. Official first-floor boarding layout ↗
Tickets, payment and luggage
Prefectural buses board in queue order without seat reservations and take payment when exiting. Supported transportation IC cards include nimoca, Suica, PASMO and ICOCA. Cash is accepted, but onboard exchange does not support 10,000-, 5,000- or 2,000-yen notes or new 500-yen coins. Prepare change or a charged card.
Nagasaki Bus Airport Liner also instructs passengers to buy at the airport ticket machine. Follow the payment instructions for the actual operator and vehicle. Carry backup cash even with a mobile IC card.
Prefectural buses exclude luggage over 30 kg or 2 m long from both cabin and compartment. Keep valuables and fragile items with you and ask the driver for loading help. The vehicles lack wheelchair boarding equipment; contact the operator beforehand about accessibility.

Nagasaki Station · 長崎駅
Arrivals → bay 5 → station transport plaza → JR entrance and hotel. “Nagasaki Station Front” does not mean the JR ticket gates. Bay 5 services drop at the transport plaza · 交通広場; bay 4 services use the bus terminal · バスターミナル farther east on the main road.
Follow the walkway toward Kamome Exit (East Exit) · かもめ口(東口). The transport plaza and rail gates are not the same place. Nagasaki City’s August/September 2026 notice lists continuing east-plaza construction, so follow current pedestrian signs and the JR layout.
A hotel west of the station and a hotel across the road need different walks. No single confirmed station-entrance walking time applies to every stop; allow for crossings, bags and your address. For the return trip, do not assume the airport-bound bay is the arrival point. Prefectural airport buses board inside the station-front bus terminal.

Arrivals → bay 5 → Shinchi Chinatown stop → hotel or Chinatown walk. The ride is about 35 minutes for 1,400 yen; you do not need to go to the station first. The bus stop and Chinatown’s north gate are distinct points. Use the operator’s city-bound stop map. For a Hamanomachi address, compare the next Chuo-bashi stop.
City-bound Shinchi drop-off ↗Hamanomachi · 浜町
Arrivals → bay 5 → Chuo-bashi · 中央橋 → arcade or hotel walk. The ride is about 38 minutes for 1,400 yen. Hamanomachi is an area, not one hotel entrance; for Shianbashi-side hotels, use the actual address.
The city-bound Chuo-bashi drop-off and the airport-bound Koyaya-mae stop are different. Use the correct direction on the map. A city taxi can cover the last leg if the walk with bags is difficult.
City-bound Chuo-bashi drop-off ↗Dejima · 出島: walk to an open entrance
Bay 5 → Shinchi or Chuo-bashi → walk to Dejima Omotemon Bridge · 出島表門橋. “Via Dejima Road” does not mean the airport bus stops at the attraction entrance.
The bridge entrance opens 08:00–21:00, last admission 20:40; the West Water Gate opens 08:00–18:00. Check the entrance before an evening visit rather than walking to the closed west gate. The attraction’s roughly five-to-ten-minute Shinchi/Hamanomachi access guidance is not one fixed time from every airport-bus stop.
After leaving bags near the station, use the tram guidance below. The last airport bus arrives after visiting hours, so go to your hotel first.

These links start at the operator’s city-bound drop-offs and end at the station or attraction. Unlike the conceptual dotted map, they use actual walking directions. Change the destination to your hotel and follow current construction signs.
From Nagasaki Station to Dejima, Shinchi or Hamanomachi
Leave JR and walk to Nagasaki Station Front tram stop · 長崎駅前. Take line 1 toward Sofukuji · 崇福寺, not the opposite direction toward Akasako.
- For Dejima, leave at 出島 and walk to the open entrance. The attraction gives about one minute from the tram stop; check the approach to Omotemon Bridge.
- For Shinchi Chinatown, leave at 新地中華街. The tourist board gives about one minute to Chinatown.
- For Hamanomachi Arcade, leave at Kanko-dori · 観光通. Do not wait for the differently routed stop named Hamanomachi Arcade.
One adult ride costs 150 yen, with cash, supported transportation IC cards or contactless bank cards. These line 1 trips need no transfer. Other tram transfers have specific eligible stops, payment methods and a 30-minute condition; not every transfer is free.
Check the final departure by stop and direction. If the tram has ended, compare the actual hotel walk or a city taxi.

Shin-Omura Station · 新大村駅 serves the Nishi Kyushu Shinkansen · 西九州新幹線. Omura Station · 大村駅 is a different, conventional-line station. Show the intended station name before boarding.
- From first-floor bay 2, take a Huis Ten Bosch/Sasebo bus that stops at Shin-Omura Station Front. The checked trip takes about 13 minutes for 310 yen.
- Collect bags and enter the station. Choose a Nagasaki-bound Kamome · かもめ and buy its basic-fare and limited-express tickets, or use a valid reservation. An ordinary transportation IC card alone does not cover the Shinkansen.
- At Nagasaki, leave for your hotel. Shinchi or Dejima needs another tram, taxi or walk.
The October 4 example Kamome 1 leaves Shin-Omura 07:19 and reaches Nagasaki 07:33: fourteen minutes on the train, not a confirmed connection from the airport. A daytime example is airport bus 11:50 → Shin-Omura 12:03, then Kamome 21 at 12:14 → Nagasaki 12:29. The eleven-minute connection is not guaranteed; choose a later train if traffic, tickets or bags require more time.
Adult non-reserved JR fare is 1,740 yen: 870 basic + 870 limited express. With the 310-yen bus, the total is 2,050 yen, or 2,200 yen with a city tram. A regular-season reserved-seat supplement is 1,790 yen, making JR 2,660 yen or bus-plus-JR 2,970 yen. Reserved totals vary by travel season; 2,050 yen does not include a reserved seat.

Nagasaki Bus’s FAQ says its final airport-origin Airport Liner waits for an arriving aircraft, but does not specify all eligible flights or a waiting limit. Do not extend this to bay 4’s prefectural bus, every bus or the Shinkansen. Ask boarding staff about the actual final service after collecting bags.
Nagasaki Bus delay FAQ ↗ · Dated timetable in both directions ↗If buses or city trams have ended
- At the airport, use official taxi bay 6 or ask an airport-listed dispatcher. A vehicle is not guaranteed to remain late at night.
- After the city bus, choose the stop for your hotel and compare the actual walk with a city taxi.
- If reaching the city is impractical, confirm an Omura-area hotel’s room, late check-in and transport before reserving. The airport lists opening 06:15 and closing 22:00; do not assume overnight lobby access.
Missed reservations
A walk-up airport bus and a dated JR seat booking have different rules. For ordinary unused JR tickets within validity, one same-type change before departure can be fee-free, with fare differences settled; discount products have separate terms. A reserved-seat ticket is not refundable after its train leaves. Ordinary limited-express rules may permit a same-day later non-reserved ordinary-class ride, not a new reserved seat. Another reserved seat requires its own supplement.
Ordinary reserved-ticket cancellation fees are 340 yen until two days before departure, then 30% (minimum 340 yen) from the day before until departure; basic-fare refunds are separate. Show the ticket to JR or use your actual seller’s terms for online discounts and vouchers. JR changes and refunds ↗
For a booked vehicle, send the flight, booking number and revised time promptly. Save its waiting limit, extra charges, no-show rules and contact details.
Taxis: confirm your address, tolls and night charges
Arrivals → first-floor bay 6 → hotel. The airport’s roughly 40-minute highway trip to Nagasaki Station is a reference, not a guaranteed hotel arrival.
The August 3, 2026 ordinary-car maximum fare revision lists 770 yen for the first kilometer, then 100 yen per 263 m, plus time/distance meter rules. Approved fares vary by company and vehicle. Heiwa Taxi’s checked table adds 100 yen per 1 minute 35 seconds of slow travel/waiting and a 20% surcharge 22:00–05:00; confirm another company’s own fare.
Highway tolls are extra. Ask for an estimate for the actual hotel, passengers and bags, and confirm vehicle, card payment, booking/dispatch/waiting fees, flight-delay contact and cancellation.

Huis Ten Bosch and Sasebo use a different route
For Huis Ten Bosch · ハウステンボス or Sasebo · 佐世保, compare bay 2’s direct route via Shin-Omura. You do not need to go to Nagasaki Station and backtrack.
The October 1–24 airport-origin timetable gives about 59 minutes to Huis Ten Bosch and 89 minutes to Sasebo Bus Center, each 1,500 yen one way. Check dated notices and the hotel walk. Bus arrival does not establish theme-park admission time.
The bay 7 jumbo taxi to Sasebo Station’s Minato Exit requires booking at least 30 minutes before departure. It is not a ride to a Nagasaki city hotel.

Airport bus tickets and JR passes are separate products. Match the bus destination and bay. A JR pass does not include the airport bus automatically; check train coverage, passport and entry-status eligibility and exchange. Choosing the U.S. page does not establish eligibility.

Nagasaki Kunchi: check the correct direction
The prefectural bus notice lists city-stop suspensions and detours on October 7, 2026, 12:20–15:00, and October 9, 12:20–14:00. Its airport-limousine table changes the city → airport route via Chuo-bashi (Koyaya-mae), not a blanket closure of every airport-origin city stop. Check the current notice for both arrival and return.

Which airport bus should I take for Nagasaki Station?
Bay 5’s Dejima Road bus reaches the station transport plaza in about 43 minutes for 1,400 yen. Walk toward the Kamome East Exit and your hotel. Bay 4’s Showa-machi/Urakami route takes about 55–56 minutes and uses the separate station-front bus terminal.
Where should I get off for Shinchi Chinatown or Hamanomachi?
Use bay 5’s Dejima Road service. Shinchi Chinatown is about 35 minutes from the airport, and Chuo-bashi for Hamanomachi about 38 minutes; each is 1,400 yen one way. Hotel walks depend on the address. Bay 4 does not serve these two stops.
Can I take a train from Nagasaki Airport to the city?
There is no airport railway station. Take bay 2’s Huis Ten Bosch/Sasebo bus to Shin-Omura, about 13 minutes for 310 yen, then a Nagasaki-bound Kamome on the Nishi Kyushu Shinkansen. Non-reserved JR costs 1,740 yen, making 2,050 yen including the bus. Transfers, ticketing and waiting are separate. Reserved seats cost more; Omura is a different station.
How do I reach Dejima from the airport bus?
Leave bay 5’s bus at Shinchi or Chuo-bashi and walk to Dejima Omotemon Bridge. The bus does not stop at the attraction entrance. From Nagasaki Station, take tram line 1 toward Sofukuji and leave at Dejima, for 150 yen. Check which entrance is open.
Will the airport bus wait for a delayed flight?
Nagasaki Bus’s FAQ says its final airport-origin Airport Liner waits for an arriving aircraft, but does not specify every eligible flight or a waiting limit. This is not a guarantee for bay 4’s prefectural bus or every departure. Ask boarding staff about the actual final service.
What if I arrive after the last bus?
The October 1–24, 2026 timetable lists both bay 4 and bay 5’s final airport departures at 21:45. Afterward, use official taxi bay 6 or confirm an airport-area hotel’s room, late check-in and transport. After reaching the city, an ended tram service may still leave a hotel walk or taxi. The airport lists closing at 22:00, so do not assume overnight lobby access.
Do I need to go through Nagasaki city for Huis Ten Bosch?
No. Bay 2’s route goes via Shin-Omura directly toward Huis Ten Bosch and Sasebo. The October 1–24 airport-origin table gives about 59 minutes to Huis Ten Bosch for 1,500 yen. It is separate from city-bound bays 4 and 5. Recheck dated notices and the hotel connection.
