At Ichijodani's reconstructed townscape, walk among samurai residences and artisans' houses to see the former town's layout. The houses and streets were reconstructed using excavated stone walls and building foundations. Step inside the buildings to see displays recreating life at the time.
Visitor information
Admission
Regular admission is ¥330 for ages 15 and up, with ¥100 rates listed for visitors age 70 or older and elementary and junior high school students. Groups of 20 or more pay ¥260 for general admission or ¥80 for visitors age 70 or older and elementary and junior high school students. Check official information for discounts, including free-admission conditions for disability certificate holders, and any temporary restrictions on your visit date.
Opening hours
The townscape opens 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with last entry at 4:30 p.m. It closes December 28–January 4.

How to get to Reconstructed Townscape of Ichijodani
If you use the free shuttle running on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from April 4 through November 29, 2026, get off at the reconstructed townscape (復原町並) stop. Follow the entrance signs from the stop. Allow extra time to buy tickets and wait. The shuttle seats 24, with priority for guided-tour participants. It does not run on weekdays.
