Admission

Individual admission is ¥500 for adults, ¥300 for junior high and high school students, and ¥200 for elementary school students. Check main-house tour and paid-activity conditions separately from regular admission.

April–November hours are 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. The tourism association and city hall list it as open year-round. Their December–March closing times differ, so ask the facility before visiting.

Follow the samurai-house street signs from Kakunodate Station to 角館町表町下丁3. The tourism association estimates about 15 minutes on foot and city hall about 20. Check the actual route and allow enough walking time.

Ask the house about winter closing time

For December–March, the tourism association lists a 4:30 p.m. closing and city hall 4:00 p.m. If planning a late-afternoon winter visit, ask Aoyagi for that day's closing time.
