Admission
Shrine visits are free. Shrine items, prayer services, and nearby facilities cost extra. Nearby aquarium visits and shopping are also excluded.
Opening hours
The official guide does not state a fixed cutoff for shrine visiting. The gift counter in front of the worship hall opens 7:00 AM–4:45 PM March–October and 7:00 AM–4:00 PM November through the end of February. The Iwaya and Ryugusha counters open 9:00 AM–4:30 PM March–October. Gift-counter hours differ from coastal walking time.

A Coastal Walk With Views of Meoto Iwa

Take the JR Sangu Line to Futaminoura and walk about 15 minutes. By bus, get off at Meotoiwa-higashiguchi and walk about 5 minutes.

For shrine items, check your chosen counter's hours. The counter in front of the worship hall closes earlier in winter. Hours may change with weather, visiting conditions, and events.
Plan the Coastal Walk During Daylight
Unless visiting for sunrise, plan a daytime coastal walk. Check dated weather and event notices. Sunrise viewing and nighttime gift-counter visits require separate dated guidance.
