Opening hours

The palace is open 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, admission until 4:30 PM. It closes Mondays, or the following day when Monday is a public holiday. It also closes the fourth Friday unless it is a public holiday, and December 29–January 3.

How to get to Kawagoe Castle Honmaru Palace · 川越城本丸御殿

From Kawagoe or Hon-Kawagoe Station, take a Tobu bus via Kura no Machi to Fudanotsuji, then walk about 10 minutes. From the Eagle Bus stop Hakubutsukan/Bijutsukan-mae or the Tobu bus/shuttle stop Hakubutsukan-mae, walk about 1 minute. Bus fares are separate from admission.
