Kibitsujinja Shrine has a long corridor that follows the rise and fall of the ground. After paying your respects, walk through the corridor and explore the architecture around the grounds.

Admission
You may visit for general worship during gate opening hours. Check the official guidance below for worship fees. A separately requested prayer service costs at least ¥5,000 per prayer request.
Opening hours
Worship hours are 5:00 AM–6:00 PM. The reception desk opens around 8:30 AM–4:00 PM, and prayer requests are accepted around 9:00 AM–2:30 PM. Goshuin, the shrine's commemorative worship stamps, are accepted until 4:00 PM, earlier than the end of worship hours.

Walk the long corridor as it follows the contours of the ground. You can enjoy the shrine architecture from the grounds; the main hall's interior is not open for general sightseeing.

How to get to Kibitsujinja Shrine · 吉備津神社
From Okayama Station, take a JR Kibi Line (Momotaro Line) train toward Soja and get off at Kibitsu Station. Walk about 10 minutes to the shrine. The shrine's official access guidance lists the train ride as about 17 minutes, while JR timetable searches show 15–18 minutes one way. Check trains for your actual date and allow additional waiting time. Return on a train from Kibitsu Station toward Okayama.

Distinguish two similarly named shrines
Kibitsujinja Shrine and Kibitsuhiko Shrine are separate sites. For Kibitsujinja Shrine, get off at Kibitsu Station. Check both the shrine name and station in your directions.
