Iya Vine Bridge · 祖谷のかずら橋
At Iya-no-Kazurabashi, you can cross a vine bridge above the valley. You can see the gorge below, and the bridge sways as you walk; the crossing itself is part of the experience.

Admission
Crossing costs ¥550 for junior high school students and older and ¥350 for elementary school students; preschool children enter free. Kazurabashi Yumebutai parking costs ¥500 per standard car, separate from bridge admission. Parking reservations are not accepted.
Opening hours
Hours are 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. April–June, 7:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. July–August, and 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. September–March. There is no regular closing day.

How to get to Iya Vine Bridge · 祖谷のかずら橋
Travel by bus or taxi from JR Oboke Station. By bus, get off at Kazurabashi or Kazurabashi Yumebutai and walk about five minutes to the bridge. By car, park at Kazurabashi Yumebutai and walk through the facility toward the bridge. Iya-no-Kazurabashi and the Oku-Iya Double Vine Bridges are different places, so check your destination. Return to your arrival stop for the bus back, and arrange both bus directions and any lodging shuttle in advance.

Distinguish the two vine-bridge destinations
Iya-no-Kazurabashi is separate from the Oku-Iya Double Vine Bridges. For a drive, use Kazurabashi Yumebutai parking as your destination. For a bus trip, check both the outbound and return services to Kazurabashi Yumebutai.

Before you cross
If heights or swaying make you uncomfortable, look at the bridge on arrival before deciding whether to cross. Heavy-rain warnings and other conditions may cause temporary closures; check operating notices in wet weather.

Can I reach Iya-no-Kazurabashi without a rental car?
Yes, by bus or taxi from JR Oboke Station. For the bus, choose both the service to Kazurabashi Yumebutai and the return trip, then check the connecting JR train from Oboke Station. The operator states that all bus services are suspended on January 1.
