The outdoor viewpoint walk and visitor center are free. The daytime bus day pass costs ¥520 for adults and ¥260 for children; the sunset program costs ¥540 for both adults and children. These are separate tickets. Budget separately for JR travel to Kojima Station, taxis, and meals.

Opening hours

The visitor center is open 9:00 AM–5:00 PM April–September and 9:00 AM–4:30 PM October–March. It closes December 29–January 3. Follow the weather conditions and on-site guidance for safe access to the outdoor viewpoint.

How to get to Mount Washuzan · 鷲羽山

Take a bus toward the second observation deck from bus stop 4 outside Kojima Station and get off at Washuzan Daini Tenbodai (鷲羽山第二展望台). The viewpoint is about a 5-minute walk from the stop. Check the operator's notices to see whether the current temporary detour service applies on your date. For the return trip, take a bus via Obatake to Kojima Station. The visitor center is about a 10-minute uphill walk toward the summit from the parking lot; this is a different destination from the second observation deck.

The sunset program departs from bus stop 5 outside Kojima Station on Fridays, Saturdays, and the day before a public holiday. Ask the operator about service during Obon. Spend about 15 minutes at each of two viewpoints, then return to Kojima Station on the same bus. Check departure and return times in the official monthly timetable. Reservations are not required, but you cannot board if the bus is full. Clear views and sunset colors depend on the weather.

Choose your transportation back to Kojima Station before deciding to stay for sunset. The daytime loop bus day pass and sunset program use different tickets. Check the sunset program's operating days and monthly departure and return times separately.
