Day 2 · Ohara Museum of Art

From Kurashiki Station's south exit, follow the historical quarter route about 15 minutes to the Main Gallery ticket office at 1-1-15 Chuo. Reaching the quarter entrance after about 10 minutes does not finish this walk.

Allow two to three hours for Western paintings in the Main Gallery, the Craft Art/Eastern Art galleries and the Torajiro Kojima Memorial Hall. General admission for all three is ¥2,000; reentry to the same gallery is generally not allowed. The Memorial Hall opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 4 p.m. March–November and 3 p.m. December–February. Check how this differs from the Main Gallery's seasonal admission cutoffs; adjust your visit date if you cannot allow time for all three. Audio guides, meals and purchases cost extra.
- Ohara Museum of Art → Kurashiki Station and accommodation
After visiting, walk about 15 minutes back to Kurashiki Station. This itinerary ends at Kurashiki Station.
