- Follow the Railway/Access Plaza signs to the connecting passage. The airport provides access to the station without stairs.
- Select your destination and vehicle at the Meitetsu vending machine/window, then enter the ticket gate.
Terminal 1 connects to the same level, but no official fixed walking times are given. After leaving the immigration area, schedule a separate walking section and ticket waiting area.

- After coming out of the arrival hall on the 1st floor, look for the ‘Railway / Central Railway Station’ sign.
- The route to the P1 car park passageway in the official station access information is approximately 7 minutes. Follow the on-site signs to the connecting passage.
- Buy a Meitetsu ticket at Access Plaza and enter the ticket gate.
Information on moving to the airport's separate terminal involves taking the ramp/elevator to the second floor, passing through Flight of Dreams · フライト・オブ・ドリームズ, and then moving to the moving walkway, which takes approximately 10 minutes. The two walking guides have different stops. Please add suitcase/elevator waiting times to the official walking time.
If walking is a burden, there is also a free terminal shuttle. Information is given at approximately 15-minute intervals, and you must check the official timetable for the day's boarding location and operating time. To catch the bus to Sakae, you must first go to number 6 of T1.

When buying a ticket at the station: Regular fare and reserved-seat ticket are separate.
μSKY · μSKY · ミュースカイ are all reserved-seat carriages and reserved seats. Airport directions usually indicate platform 1. For other limited express and express trains, numbers 2 and 3 are usually given, but please give priority to the electronic display board on the day.
Some limited express vehicles are a mixture of reserved-seat carriages and regular vehicles, and some vehicles are all regular vehicles. You should not just look at the name of the train and use the same ticket for every compartment.
Standard carriages can be used with basic tickets or reciprocal transport IC cards such as manaca, Suica, and ICOCA. For reserved-seat carriages, a separate reserved-seat ticket (muticket) is required. Since the online reserved-seat ticket does not include the basic ticket, you must use a transport IC card or purchase a regular ticket separately.
Sales open one month before travel; you can buy while seats remain available. Please distinguish the online time slot discount that meets the conditions from the regular 450 yen.

Nagoya Station Accommodation: Which direction do I go after getting off at Meitetsu?
Meitetsu Nagoya Station · 名鉄名古屋駅 is located on the south side of JR Nagoya Station · 名古屋駅 and the Nagoya subway station · 名古屋駅. Even if the station names are similar, the ticket gates and platforms are not the same.
- Arrival → Central International Airport Station: Go to the T1/T2 route above.
- Ticket/transport IC card → Meitetsu train stopping in Nagoya: Select μSKY or a standard carriage and check the destination and stopping station on the electronic display. Even if your final destination is towards Gifu or Inuyama, you can use it as long as it stops at Nagoya.
- Get off at Meitetsu Nagoya → Outside the Meitetsu ticket gate: Follow the JR, Shinkansen, and subway signs to the next transportation facility.
- Last transfer to your accommodation address or JR transfer destination: Distinguish between JR Station East Sakura-dori Exit · 桜通口 and West Taiko-dori Exit · 太閤通口. The Shinkansen travels to the west of JR Station and enters through a separate ticket at the corresponding JR ticket gate.
If you stay in a hotel west of the station, there is still a walking section from the Meitetsu drop-off point through the JR station. Not all hotels in front of the station are on the same street. When transferring to JR, Meitetsu reserved-seat tickets cannot be used as JR tickets.
If you have large luggage, check the elevator route in the map below first, and do not transfer just before the Shinkansen departure.

If you stay in Kanayama, you don’t have to go to Nagoya Station.
Get off at Kanayama Station · 金山駅. μSKY takes approximately 24 minutes and costs 1,360 yen, and standard carriages cost 910 yen. The time varies depending on the ride. After entering the country, go to the station → Choose a train that stops at Kanayama → Get off and go to the ticket gate → Walk to the accommodation address.
The final route is different for hotels on the north and south sides of the station.
When continuing to Sakae, exit the Meitetsu ticket gate and follow the municipal subway signs to a separate ticket gate. Distinguish between JR transfers and subway transfers. You can also connect to JR and subway maps from the Meitetsu official Kanayama Station guide.

Accommodation in Sakae: Compare Kanayama subway transfers and bus stops
The convenient route to hotels around Sakae · 栄 varies depending on whether they are close to a subway station or a bus stop.
Railway: Kanayama → Meijo Line right loop → Sakae
Arrival hall → Airport Station → Get off at Kanayama → Separate subway ticket gate → Meijo Line right loop (toward Sakae/Ozone) → Sakae Station → Accommodation. Passing through Higashibetsuin, Kamimaezu, and Yabacho, you arrive at Sakae.
Add the subway to the airport train for about 8 minutes, 210 yen, transfers, and waiting. The total cost for standard carriages is 1,120 yen, and for Mu-Sky, the total is 1,570 yen.
If you want to transfer at Nagoya Station, take the Higashiyama Line toward Fujigaoka and get off at Fushimi and then Sakae. The subway ride is about 5 minutes and 210 yen, the total from the airport is 1,190 yen by standard carriage, and the total cost by μSKY is 1,640 yen.
Walking and waiting between Meitetsu and subway ticket gates are separate. If you take the left loop of the Meijo Line, it takes a big turn in the opposite direction from Kanayama to Sakae, so be sure to check the direction.
Bus: T1 No. 6 → Nagoya Tokyu Hotel Sakae NE2b
Nagoya Tokyu Hotel · 名古屋東急ホテル If you are nearby, compare the drop off in front of the hotel first. It is about 50 minutes by car from the airport. NE2b, exclusively for getting off at Sakae, takes about 55 minutes and is located at a different location from platform 9 (NE2a) on Oasis 21 · オアシス21 bound for the airport.
After getting off, follow the walking map to your accommodation.
The bus departs from number 6 on the first floor of Terminal 1. The timetable showing the Terminal 2 stop is a drop-off guide from the city to the airport, so it should not be read as saying that you can get on T2 directly to the city. Arrivals at T2 should go to T1 first by free shuttle or official walking connection.
Until October 31, airport departure: 09:40, 11:40, 12:40, 13:40, 15:40, 17:40, 19:40, 21:40. One-way ticket for adults is 2,000 yen, no reservation required, on a first-come, first-served basis, and you may not be able to ride if all seats are filled. The 12:40 departure does not accept cash. For contactless payments using transport IC cards and supported credit cards, tap the reader when boarding and again when getting off, and follow the official instructions for cash and web ticket payments for general transportation.
The bus ticket booth on the second floor of the airport is open from 09:00 to 19:00. After that, you must check the on-site ticket machine and on-board payment conditions.
The bus goes to Nishikidori Honmachi · 錦通本町, Nagoya Kanko Hotel · 名古屋観光ホテル. For hotels on the Fushimi · 伏見 side, please compare this drop-off point with the address.

Last departures from Centrair and connections to Sakae
The official Meitetsu timetable compares October 5, 2026, a weekday, and October 4, 2026, a weekend. On both dates, the last μSKY from the airport departs at 22:07 and the last city-bound train departs at 23:31. On the day of travel, check again with the official inquiry below. Just because μSKY is over doesn't mean all trains are over.
- 22:07 μSKY · Meitetsu to Nagoya: Weekday inquiry Kanayama 22:31 → Meitetsu Nagoya 22:36. Regular fare + reserved-seat ticket required.
- 23:31 Limited express · All vehicles · Standard carriages · Meitetsu to Gifu: Weekday inquiry Kanayama the next day 00:01 → Meitetsu Nagoya 00:06. This train uses the basic fare with no seat fees, but a seat is not guaranteed.
- Last bus to Sakae departs at 21:40: Until October 31, T1 No. 6 → Tokyu Hotel 22:30 → Sakae NE2b 22:35. Please do not change the evening time on the airport timetable.
The last departure ticket for the right loop on the municipal transportation Meijo Line shows Kanayama 00:04 → Sakae 00:14. The last airport bus arrives at Kanayama at 00:01, which is 3 minutes apart, so connection cannot be guaranteed considering separate ticket gate travel and suitcase.
For accommodation in Sakae, choose an earlier train or plan to continue by taxi from Kanayama. The subway service ending in Kanayama should not be read as the last departure to Sakae.
Arrivals at Terminal 2 must add 7 to 10 minutes for station access plus immigration, baggage, and ticketing times. Even if the flight landing time is earlier than the train departure time, boarding is not guaranteed. There is no official guarantee that a train or bus will depart on time due to flight delays.

If you think you will miss your reserved train because your flight is delayed
Meitetsu online reserved-seat tickets can be changed for free twice up to 1 minute before the indicated departure time. Special vehicle tickets purchased at station vending machines/counters can be changed for free once before departure. Changes require empty seats and sales conditions, and online discount coupons may differ in price.
It should not be assumed that reserved-seat tickets missed after departure can be used on the next train or changed or refunded later.
For reserved-seat tickets cancelled due to personal reasons, check the 220 yen fee and pre-departure processing conditions in the official refund information. Non-fee refunds for suspension of the Meitetsu train itself or delays of more than one hour and aircraft delays are different reasons. Check the purchase confirmation/change/refund menu online, or ask station staff for paper tickets.
The bus web ticket does not provide seat assignment or reservation. Tickets purchased from CentX and WILLER will only be refunded through the respective app or retailer, and a 100 yen fee will be charged. When the train or bus is over: taxi, reserved vehicle, or accommodation near the airport
For Terminal 1, please ask an official company to dispatch a taxi at the taxi stand on the 1st floor of Access Plaza, and for Terminal 2, outside the building on the 1st floor. The airport informs you that a phone call is required for taxis in Terminal 2.

The reference price for a metered taxi at the airport is approximately 16,000 yen for 50 minutes to Nagoya Station and approximately 15,500 yen for 45 minutes to Sakae, excluding expressway and connecting bridge tolls. The actual price will vary depending on traffic conditions, night fares, and destination. Meitetsu Chita Taxi offers a 20% surcharge for distance and waiting fares between 22:00 and 05:00 the next day, and payment can be made with cash or supported credit cards. Reserved vehicles already booked for the day should not be considered an immediate alternative to late arrival. If it is difficult to secure a vehicle, first confirm a room at an accommodation near the airport, late check-in, and transportation from the terminal to the hotel. The fact that an airport building is open does not guarantee accommodation or hotel rooms.
If the subway ends in the city, take a taxi from the station to your accommodation, or check the streets, entrances, and crosswalks of the actual walking route and walk. When dragging a suitcase alone, you can reduce searches while moving by securing the battery, accommodation address, check-in deadline, and elevator location in advance.
In case of typhoons or strong winds, you must see the operation notice on the day.
Do not decide whether trains or buses will be suspended based on the weather alone. Check the official airport transportation information, Meitetsu operation information, bus road control and operation conditions, and municipal subway operation notices. Suitcase/hire car pickup conditions vary depending on transportation.
Meitetsu free carry-on baggage is limited to two pieces of luggage, each with a total of three sides of 250 cm, weight of 30 kg, and length of 2 m. Daily belongings such as handbags are excluded from the count, but may be restricted if crowded or disruptive to other passengers.
Do not think of μSKY baggage space as being secured separately like a seat reservation. You must take care of your luggage yourself and do not block the entrance or passageway.
For buses, there are separate restrictions on luggage larger than a 63cm cube, weight exceeding 30kg, and a total of three sides exceeding 2m. Take your valuables into the car, and tell the driver where to drop off and pick up your luggage in the trunk. Don't apply railway standards to buses as well.
For hire cars, the date and vehicle type are reserved at the airport store. Examples of business hours in the official information are Toyota 07:30~22:00, Nippon, Orix, and Nissan 08:00~20:00, and Times 09:00~19:00.
Pick-up location and contract closing are based on reservation. If your flight is delayed, you must first contact the company to see if it is possible to take over or change your train for free after the booking deadline. Please also check driving qualifications, insurance, fuel, return point, and hotel parking fees separately.

Frequently asked questions when travelling from Centrair to Nagoya
How do I get from Centrair Airport to Nagoya Station?
After entering the country and picking up your baggage, take the Meitetsu train from Chubu International Airport Station in Access Plaza and get off at Meitetsu Nagoya Station. A standard carriage costs 980 yen one way for an adult, and the all-reserved-seat μSKY costs 1,430 yen, including the regular fare of 980 yen plus a reserved-seat ticket of 450 yen. The shortest on-board journey time on μSKY is 28 minutes, and walking to the terminal, ticketing, waiting for the train, and moving to the accommodation are separate.
How do I get from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 to the station?
The Terminal 1 arrival hall is on the second floor and is connected to the Access Plaza. No official fixed walking time is given. In Terminal 2, if you leave the arrival hall on the 1st floor and use the P1 car park connecting passage, it takes about 7 minutes to get to the station. The terminal transfer guide through Flight of Dreams is a different route that takes about 10 minutes. Elevators, ticketing, waiting times, and luggage movement must be arranged separately.
What is the difference between μSKY and other trains?
μSKY is an all-reserved-seat train, and requires both a regular fare and a reserved-seat ticket. The limited express that connects some reserved-seat carriages is divided into reserved-seat carriages and regular vehicles. You can ride regular vehicles or all express/semi-express vehicles at the basic fare, but seats are not guaranteed. Since stopping stations, destinations, and times vary for each train, check the airport departure timetable for stops at Kanayama and Meitetsu Nagoya.
Do I have to pay a separate seat fee in addition to the ticket?
When using reserved-seat carriages such as μSKY or Limited Express, an additional 450 yen is usually added for the reserved-seat ticket. The total cost of Airport → Nagoya μSKY is 1,430 yen, and Airport → Kanayama is 1,360 yen. A reserved-seat ticket bought online does not cover the regular fare; pay the regular fare separately. Online discount coupons for the correct departure times have eligibility conditions, so the 300 yen cannot be applied to the seat fare for every train.
Can I use it with a transport IC card?
You can pay Meitetsu regular fares with nationwide reciprocal transport IC cards such as manaca, Suica, and ICOCA. Since swiping your card at the ticket gate does not secure a μSKY seat, you must purchase a reserved-seat ticket separately. Buses bound for Sakae also accept transport IC cards and display them when getting on and off. The bus departing from the airport at 12:40 does not accept cash.
How do I transfer from Meitetsu Nagoya Station to JR/Shinkansen?
After getting off at Meitetsu Nagoya Station, go out of the ticket gate and follow the JR/Shinkansen signs to JR Nagoya Station. JR and Meitetsu have separate station facilities and ticket gates and are not on the same platform. The Shinkansen continues toward the Taiko-dori exit on the west side of JR Station, and the Higashiyama Line bound for Sakae departs from a separate subway ticket gate toward Fujigaoka. If you have luggage, schedule the elevator route and transfer time separately on the map.
Where do I transfer to get to Sakae accommodation?
After exiting the Meitetsu ticket gate at Kanayama, take the Meijo Line clockwise towards Sakae/Ozone and get off at Sakae. The subway fare is 210 yen, the total cost from the airport by standard carriage is 1,120 yen, and the total cost by μSKY is 1,570 yen. There is also a route that transfers from Nagoya Station to the Higashiyama Line toward Fujigaoka. To save on transfers, compare buses from Terminal 1 No. 6 to Sakae (2,000 yen).
Which train should I take to Kanayama?
Select μSKY, Limited Express, Express, etc. that stop at Kanayama from the airport departure timetable. The μSKY ride takes about 24 minutes and costs 1,360 yen, including the basic fare of 910 yen and the reserved-seat ticket of 450 yen. It costs 910 yen for a standard carriage, and it takes more if there are many stops. If you stay near Kanayama, there is no need to go to Nagoya Station and back.
Can I use it with a large suitcase?
Meitetsu provides free carry-on luggage for up to two items that must be within 250 cm in combined length, width and height, weigh less than 30kg, and be less than 2m in length. Restrictions may apply if it is crowded or disrupts other passengers. There are separate regulations for buses, so you must check for restrictions such as luggage larger than a 63cm cube, weight 30kg, or a total of three sides exceeding 2m. When making a reservation, check whether taxis or reserved vehicles can accommodate the vehicle type and number of people.
What do I do if my flight is late and I miss the reserved train or the last departure?
Meitetsu informs you that online reserved-seat tickets can be changed for free twice up to 1 minute before the indicated departure time, and reserved-seat tickets purchased at the station can be changed once for free before departure. A seat must be available on the train you want, and reserved-seat tickets missed after departure cannot be used for the next service. Confirmed on 2026-10-05, the last μSKY departure from the airport on weekdays and weekends is at 22:07, and the last standard carriage express to the city is at 23:31. It is not guaranteed that the train or bus will be waiting for your flight, and once transportation is over, you must use an official airport taxi, a pre-booked vehicle, or secured accommodation near the airport.
