How to get to city centre Obihiro and Tokachigawa Onsen from Obihiro Airport

From the arrival hall to the actual airport bus stop

1. Come out to the arrival lobby on the 1st floor. On the airport’s official 1st floor map, international flights are marked as ‘到着口1’ and domestic flights are marked as ‘到着口2’. After completing international immigration, baggage, and customs, you will exit to the lobby. The bus ticket machine is located at ‘バス券売機’ near the domestic arrival lobby. 2. Decide on the bus type first and prepare for payment. Tokachi Bus supports cash and PayPay. For hotel circuits, you can use the dedicated cashless payment machine in the lobby or cash onboard. Credit card contactless payment is also available for Takushoku services, but this does not apply to Tokachi Bus services on the same hotel circuit route.Check the bus you will ride with the operator/route listed in the table.
3. Go to the bus boarding area in front of the building. The official bus stop for the hotel circuit is Airport Stop 1. For the northbound route from the station, check the on-site ‘帯広駅バスターミナル’ destination and Tokachi Bus timetable and show the driver your destination. Tokachi Bus stop numbers cannot be confirmed based on official information alone and must be confirmed on site. Separate it from platform 1 for the hotel circuit. 4. Please inform us of the drop-off stop before leaving your luggage. Baggage left in the trunk on the hotel circuit will be handed back by the driver after you get off. After the disembarkation announcement, press the button, come to a complete stop, and then get off. Tickets for each route are not interchangeable, and web tickets do not constitute seat reservations. If the bus is full, you may not be able to board.

Comparison of Obihiro Airport bus, hot spring transfer, and taxi fares

The times below are travel times within the vehicle. Please add the time for immigration, baggage collection, lobby movement, ticketing, waiting for the bus, station transfer, and walking to the accommodation separately. Bus and taxi times may increase due to snow and road congestion and restrictions.

Station 45 → Hot Springs major hotel stops are 600 yen based on the fare table revised in December 2025. Even if there is 500 yen left in the hotel FAQ, please prepare based on the 600 yen in the current operator's rate table. Check the applicable period below for free benefits for hotel guests. The approximately 8,000-9,000 yen for an airport taxi is not a fixed reservation fee. Check the official standards for carry-on items on Tokachi Bus regular routes: less than 30kg, 0.25m³, and 2m in length. Folding bicycles, skis, etc. require designated packaging, and you should not assume that regular buses to hot springs have the same trunk as airport buses. The Takushoku Hotel circuit uses cars with large trunks, but luggage, large musical instruments, and bicycles may be restricted during busy times, so it is necessary to inquire in advance. Route from Obihiro Airport to the station, hotel, and hot springs

The dotted arrows are schematic connecting lines and may differ from actual bus routes, taxi routes, and pedestrian paths. The stop coordinates were compared with the Tokachi Bus official GTFS and the Takushoku official stop location link. Hot spring hotel pins are located around the bus stop and entrance to the accommodation, and are not the coordinates of the entire building or the measured entrance. Daiichi Hotel's official information indicates that it is a stop right next to the main entrance. Accommodation north and west of Obihiro Station: Tokachi Bus route to Station

Tokachi Bus · 十勝バス connecting airport shuttle bus goes from the airport → Kofuku, Taisho, Aikoku, Kawanishi → Obihiro Station North Bus Terminal → Station West → In front of Toyoko Inn Super Hotel → City West, Bus Headquarters. It passes through stops around the main accommodation, but has a different stop list than the hotel circuit.

1. Airport arrival lobby → Reverse boarding area in front of the building. Check the destination, cash/PayPay, or get a ticket for the route.
2. If you are transferring to the northern inn and hot springs, get off at “帯広駅バスターミナル”. It takes 38 minutes from the airport and costs 1,000 yen. Station 10 is the boarding stop for returning to the airport. Separate this from the drop-off location for buses arriving from the airport. After getting off, check your accommodation address or bus stop 45 at the north pedestrian area.
3. For accommodation on the west side, get off at ‘帯広駅西口’ or ‘東横イン・スーパーホテル前’. It takes about 43 minutes to the west of the station, and about 44 minutes to the front of the hotel. Even if the names of the stops and hotels are similar, the buildings may be different. Check the walking route and time from the drop-off point to your booked accommodation. Don't walk along the edge of the driveway; check for crosswalks and actual entrances and exits.

If you are staying south of the station, look at the north → south walking directions and the JR station map. The south stop on the next hotel circuit is also comparable, as it adds time to get through the station with your luggage. Hokkaido Takushoku Bus, Hokkaido Takushoku Bus, Kita Sea Road Bus and some Tokachi Bus services operate. The order of departure from the airport is Hokkaido Hotel → Hotel Nikko Northland Obihiro → Comfort → APA Hotel Front (North) → CABIN/Fukui Hotel → Grand Terrace → Nupka → Dormy Inn → Area One → Kino/Otofuke. The stop order for the return bus is different, so don't follow the ticket to the airport.

Hotel Nikko Northland Obihiro · ホテル日航ノースランド帯広 is on the south side of the station, and in front of APA Hotel is on the north side. Hokkaido Hotel · Kitahai Road Hotel is not an accommodation located right in front of the station.

Select a drop-off location on the map and compare the address and main entrance location of the accommodation you booked. The official stop information tells you to get on and off right in front of the hotel, but you will have to walk to the entrance of another nearby hotel.

1. 1st floor lobby → No. 1 outside the airport. Prepare ticket, cash, and support contactless payments for the relevant operator.
2. Check hotel/city directions and show the driver the name of the hotel you are getting off at. Takushoku Web QR tickets cannot be used on the JAL573 connecting flight operated by Tokachi Bus.
3. Purpose Hotel stop → Baggage pickup → Actual front door. Even in the same hotel, distinguish between pedestrian and vehicular access roads and follow the directions at the entrance. For other hotels, check the map location link for walking distances.

Transfer from Obihiro Station to Tokachigawa Onsen

1. Airport → Get off at the bus terminal north of the station. 38 minutes to Tokachi Bus Station, 1,000 yen. If you take the hotel circuit, you must get off in front of North APA and travel separately to the bus terminal.
2. Have your ticket and accommodation proof ready and take number 45 for ‘十勝川温泉’ direction. Regular fare is 600 yen. You receive a numbered ticket while riding, and when you get off, you present cash, QR payment, or a dedicated ticket. Do not prepare based on the premise of using a traffic IC. Weekday and weekend PDFs are displayed as number 6, 13:26, 15:26, and 18:11 PDFs are displayed as number 7, and weekday 07:11 PDF pages are displayed as number 5. 3. After waiting for the bus, get off at the stop corresponding to your accommodation. Arrival at the hot spring hotel area on the open ticket is approximately 28 minutes after departure from the station. Please let the driver know which of Daiichi Hotel, Gangetsuen, Garden Spa, Sasai Hotel, and Daiheigen are suitable for accommodation. As hotel areas are tied to the same time, individual arrival times at the front door are not guaranteed.
4. Get off → Check baggage → Go to the hotel entrance. Not all hotels can be entered directly from the south stop of the hot springs. Check the last movements by stop and hotel below.

PDF number 45, currently linked to the official list, is revised on June 2, 2025. Departure from the station on weekdays is 07:11, 08:50, 11:20, 13:26, 14:33, 15:26, 16:51, 18:11, and on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, it is 08:50, 11:20, 13:26, 15:26, 16:51, and 18:11. Check the weekend ticket for August 14th to 16th and a separate special table for December 29th to January 3rd.

Connection example: Airport 15:40 → Station 16:18 → No. 45 16:51 → Hot Springs Hotel Area 17:19. According to the timetable, it is 33 minutes from the station to the next bus. You must receive baggage, issue tickets, and move to the boarding area within this area. If there is a delay, compare the last 18:11 departure, and check the taxi dispatch if you miss that bus as well. Airport 18:55 → Station 19:33 and later buses do not connect to the last bus to Hot Springs.

Free tickets for hotel guests and hotel shuttle are different

Free campaign from April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027 is for guests staying at Daiheigen, Sasai Hotel, Gangetsuen, Sanyoan, Daiichi Hotel (Hoshutei/Toyotei), Fuji Hotel, and Seizakubo. Applies to general route buses between stations and hot springs on check-in and check-out days, and the airport bus section is separate. Show your reservation confirmation email, reservation form, and accommodation name at the bus terminal window on the north side of the station and receive a special ticket. When leaving, place half of the ticket in the fare box and submit the remainder to the front desk of the hotel. When returning, receive a return ticket from the front desk and use it when getting off at the station. The official FAQ of Gangetsuen that we checked indicates that neither station nor airport shuttle service is provided. If you wish to use the hot springs hotel's airport shuttle, you must check directly with the property to see if it operates and what the reservation conditions are. If you are offered an individual shuttle service from another accommodation, check with the accommodation for guest conditions, flight number, pick-up location, reservation deadline, and change/cancellation policies in case of delay, and receive confirmation before using it.

Direct services from the airport to hot springs are currently suspended.

In the airport's official Korean flight information, there is a special airport → station → hot spring route connecting Cheongju, but it is listed as closed from August 31 to October 24, 2026. The Incheon flight connection is suspended for the time being. The hotel circuit route to Otofuke is not a route to hot springs, and Sahoro Resort hotel guests' exclusive vehicles are also not available for travel to these hot springs. From the hot spring stop to the entrance of the accommodation

Daiichi Hotel · Tokachigawa Onsen Daiichi Hotel · 十勝川温泉第一ホテル: Get off at ‘第一ホテル’. Official hotel information states that the stop is right next to the Toyotei main gate. Please pack your bags, enter the pedestrian ramp, and show your reservation confirmation for Hoshutei/Toyotei at the front desk. Kangetsuen · 観月苑: When you get off at ‘観月苑’, it is in front of the accommodation. Match the stop names with the official access instructions and proceed to the pedestrian area near the entrance. If you get off at Garden Spa, it will take about 5 minutes to walk additionally, according to the hotel's official information. Garden Spa Tokachigawa Onsen · Sasai Hotel · 笹井ホテル, Hotel Daiheigen · ホテル大平原 is a different stop. For hotels such as Fuji Hotel and Seizakubo, please inquire about transportation to the drop-off point and entrance closest to the accommodation you have booked.

For other hotels, please inquire with the hotel you booked about the distance to walk from the drop-off stop to the entrance and the snow-cleared paths.

Obihiro Airport last departure, flight delay, taxi

Tokachi Bus: The last basic departure at 19:35 in the table from September 1 to October 24, 2026 is the JAL579 connection. According to ‘※3’, from October 1st to 24th, the departure time is 10 minutes earlier at 19:25 → arrival at the station at 20:03. The official October GTFS also confirms this view.

It is the same for weekdays and weekends, and if the flight arrives earlier, the bus may also depart earlier.

Hotel circuit: During the same period, the last departure from the airport for open tickets is 19:35 → Hokkaido Hotel 20:10 → Nikko 20:14 → APA 20:16 → Area One 20:21. The final two services have longer journey times because they stop at Hokkaido Hotel.

As the October timetable lists the station-bound bus at 19:25 and the hotel circuit at 19:35, do not assume that you can wait until 19:35, but check with the bus stop and driver according to the arrival of JAL579. When making reservations, new announcements from each operator take priority.

Tokachi Bus informs you that departures will be adjusted according to delays. Takushoku checks connection flight delays and baggage pickup status and adjusts departure. Buses may also be suspended during flight cancellations or planned suspensions. There are no regulations that guarantee unlimited waiting, boarding of all passengers, or access to hot springs. The last bus to Hot Springs departs the station at 18:11 → arrives at the hotel area at 18:39. Even if you arrive at the station by the last bus from the airport, it will not connect you. The airport taxi stand is in front of the terminal. Accommodation near the station is about 35 minutes and 8,000 yen, and the hot spring is about 40 minutes and 9,000 yen is the airport's official estimate. Airport official flat-rate taxi tickets are for a maximum of 4 people in an ordinary car, reserved by phone in advance, and run from 06:00 to 22:00. Winter fares are separate from December 10 to March 26 of the following year, and metered fares may apply if you leave the zone boundary or change your destination. Reduce moving luggage from the bus stop to the front door in winter

It is a short trip within the same bus terminal from getting off at the north side of the station to the bus stop for hot springs, but there is additional waiting time at the ticket counter and bus stop for hotel guests. You need to pass through the station to get to the hotels north to south of the station, and you have to walk a separate road to get to the Hokkaido Hotel or other hotels in the hot springs.

At night, save the address and entrance location in advance and ask the hotel for accessible entrances, crosswalks, and snow-cleared access roads. Don't just look at the straight line distance on the map and decide when to walk with your suitcase in the snow.

On snowy days, please inquire with your accommodation about the snow removal status of surrounding sidewalks and entrances. If you have difficulty moving due to slippery sections or large luggage, compare taxi dispatch between the drop-off point and your accommodation. Official bus tickets and vehicle reservations

The QR ticket to the hotel is used at the purchased drop-off point during the section from Airport No. 1 → City Hotel, Gino, and Otofuke. This is not a ticket to a hot spring. Compare the sales period, usage date, and section until October 24, 2026 on the purchase screen. You pay with a credit card and show the email QR to the driver. There is no need to exchange for a paper ticket. Seats are not reserved and cannot be used on JAL573 operated by Tokachi Bus. The product FAQ informs you that no separate contact is required to change the usage date.
