Visitor information
Admission
Individual admission is JPY 1,000 for adults, and free for junior secondary students and younger. These rates apply from 1 October 2026. The JPY 300 rate for eligible older Nagoya residents requires a city-issued senior concession booklet and documents proving address, age and identity. Group and combined Tokugawaen tickets are separate.
Opening hours
Nagoya Castle opens from 9 am to 4:30 pm. Enter Honmaru Palace or the Nishinomaru Treasure House by 4 pm at the respective building. Allow walking time from the main or east gate; the main gate to Honmaru Palace entrance takes about ten minutes.

How to get to Nagoya Castle
Take the Meijo subway line to Nagoyajo Station. Walk about five minutes from exit 7 to the castle. For the Tsurumai Line, leave at Sengencho Station and walk about 12 minutes from exit 1.

The keep interior is closed
The keep interior is currently closed. For an interior visit within the castle grounds, choose Honmaru Palace. Allow time for queues and removing your shoes.
