Visitor information
Admission
Individual admission is 1,000 yen for adults; junior-high students and younger children enter free. These fees apply from 1 October 2026. The 300-yen Nagoya resident senior rate requires a city-issued senior privilege booklet and documents confirming address, age and identity. Group tickets and combined Tokugawaen tickets are separate.
Opening hours
Visiting hours are 09:00–16:30. Enter Honmaru Palace and Nishinomaru Okura Museum by 16:00 at each building. Allow walking time from the main or east gate; the main gate to the palace entrance takes about 10 minutes.

How to get to Nagoya Castle
Take the Meijo subway line to Nagoyajo. Walk about five minutes from exit 7 to Nagoya Castle. On the Tsurumai Line, alight at Sengencho and walk about 12 minutes from exit 1.
