Admission
Individual admission is ¥1,000 for adults; junior high school students and younger enter free. These prices took effect October 1, 2026. The ¥300 rate for eligible older Nagoya residents requires the city's senior benefit booklet and documents confirming address, age, and identity. Group tickets and combined tickets with Tokugawaen are separate.
Opening hours
The grounds are open 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. You must enter Honmaru Palace and the Nishinomaru Treasure House by 4:00 p.m. Allow time to walk from the main or east gate to each building; the main gate to the Honmaru Palace entrance takes about 10 minutes.

How to get to Nagoya Castle
Take the Meijo subway line to Nagoyajo Station. From Exit 7, the castle is about a five-minute walk. On the Tsurumai line, use Sengencho Station's Exit 1 and walk about 12 minutes.
Visit tips
The castle keep is closed to visitors
The keep's interior is currently closed. To see the inside of a building on the castle grounds, visit Honmaru Palace. Allow time to wait in line and remove your shoes.
