Admission

Basic exhibition admission is JPY 700 for adults, JPY 400 for senior high school students, JPY 200 for primary and junior high school students and JPY 350 for ages 70 and over. Special exhibitions cost extra. If adding the townscape, check the combined ticket's price, validity and use on different days before buying.

Opening hours

Hours are 9 am–5 pm, with entry until 4:30 pm. It closes on Mondays and over New Year and may have temporary closures; check the opening calendar for your visit.

How to get to Ichijodani Asakura Family Site Museum

Take a JR Etsumi-Hoku (Kuzuryu) Line train from Fukui Station to Ichijodani, then walk about three minutes to the museum. The train ride takes about 15 minutes. Check your Fukui-bound return train time.

Before you visit

Adding the reconstructed townscape

The townscape is in a different location from the museum. Allow both viewing and travel time if visiting both. A free Karamon-bound shuttle is listed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 4 April to 29 November 2026. Check weekday transport separately in the museum's official access guide.
