Admission

Basic exhibition admission is ¥700 for general visitors, ¥400 for high school students, ¥200 for elementary and junior high school students, and ¥350 for visitors age 70 or older. Special exhibitions cost extra. If you will also visit the reconstructed townscape, check the combined ticket's price, validity, and whether it can be used on different days before buying.

Opening hours

The museum opens 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with last entry at 4:30 p.m. It closes Mondays and over the year-end/New Year period. Temporary closures may also occur, so check the opening calendar for your visit date.

How to get to Ichijodani Asakura Family Site Museum

Take a JR Etsumi-Hoku Line (Kuzuryu Line) train from Fukui Station to Ichijodani. Walk about three minutes from the station to the museum. The train ride takes about 15 minutes. Check your return train toward Fukui too.

Allow time to reach the reconstructed townscape

The reconstructed townscape is separate from the museum. If you visit both, allow time for the exhibits and the journey between them. A free shuttle toward Karamon is listed for Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from April 4 through November 29, 2026. Check the museum's official access information separately for weekday transportation.
